How do I do Walk Out Push-Ups?

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and arms by your sides.
  2. Hinge at your hips and bend forward at the waist, reaching your hands toward the floor. Keep your legs straight but not locked.
  3. Walk your hands forward, one at a time, until you are in a plank position. Maintain a straight line from your head to your heels.
  4. Perform a push-up by bending your elbows and lowering your chest toward the floor.
  5. Push back up to the plank position.
  6. Walk your hands back toward your feet.
  7. Return to the standing position.
  8. Perform the exercise for the desired number of repetitions or time.

What are some tips for Walk Out Push-Ups?

  1. Execute each movement with control, especially when walking out into the plank position and performing push-ups.
  2. Keep your core muscles engaged throughout the exercise to support your spine.
  3. Maintain a flat back when walking out and in, avoiding rounding or arching.
  4. Inhale as you walk out into the plank, exhale as you perform the push-up and walk back toward your feet.
  5. If needed, adjust the placement of your hands during the walk-out and push-up to find a comfortable range of motion.

Easier

  • If regular push-ups are challenging, perform them with your knees on the ground.
  • Perform a half-walk out with push-ups by walking out only to a plank position, do the pushup, and then stand.

  • Start with a lower number of repetitions and gradually increase as you build strength.
